“Once upon a time, there was a man who discovered he had turned into a person he disliked himself”.

Today is another day typical day for Rahul. He is a little late for office, well there is no motivation to go either. He is bored with his routine. He gets up, goes to the office and comes backs home. He repeats this cycle for 6 days in a week. On Sundays, he is too tired to get up from his bed.

Meet Rahul

Rahul feels his family doesn’t understand him. His friends are always making fun of him. He feels isolated from the real world. He has a lot of pain inside him, but he feels people rarely care for him. Rahul is an introvert. He hates attending social gatherings. He is insecure about his body weight. There is a lot of shame about it.

He spends most of his time watching Netflix. He loves posting his travel pictures on social media. The only escape from his life is his online presence. He talks openly on Facebook groups about his weight issues. People support him there. There is a connection with his online friends. He is very lonely. Rahul never had any relationship in his life.

When he looks back at his life, there is no meaning to his life. He is just having a mere existence. He feels depressed thinking about it. He has grown up to be the exact person he never wanted to be. He feels his life is wasted.

When he travels he finds new meaning to his life. Suddenly he is happy in his own company. All he cares about is being in nature. He doesn’t require to be around anyone. He is looking for new meaning in his life. He wants to explore all the countries in the world. The only challenge is to replace his job earning from an online source. He is exploring various avenues to make money online.

During his research, he found out that there is a community called Digital Nomad who is location independent. He is looking for mentors to guide him on this journey. He doesn’t want to be a slave anymore of the corporate world. He wants to live life in his terms. Learn new things and build confidence through life experiences. He doesn’t want to relate to his old self. He wants to explore his true potential. He wants to live a life of purpose.

The real reason to go nomadic has nothing to do with fame and money. It is just getting comfortable in his skin. He wants to build his confidence. Be alive again. Help others who are on the journey of exploring themselves.

Below is my customer avatar:

Conclusion

Rahul is my customer avatar. I want to build an online course on digital nomad. The best way to collect this information is by customer survey. All my communication will be derived keeping Rahul in mind.

Digital Marketing is all about one to one conversation. It is like having a conversation with your friend. It will make you feel good. It will make you happy. Good marketing is about good conversations.

Be Authentic to communicate better. People are tired of fake people and find real people attractive. Many will hate you for being real but don’t be bothered by it. You will attract your true fans by being authentic.

Have more life experiences to be a better marketer. Learn new things all the time. Travel, Learn new languages, Meditate and Learn Scuba Diving. When you have a lot of life experience you can guide others well. When you are awesome, people will believe that you are awesome too.

We get overwhelmed by thinking that we have to communicate with a lot of people, but the simple fact is we just have to keep our customer avatar in our mind while sending the communication. It is a simple concept and makes my life so much easier. Thank you Deepak sir for simplifying marketing.
